According to Counterpoint Research, Apple secured the top spot in the mobile market during the fourth quarter of 2019 with a total shipment of 72.9 million units. Meanwhile, Samsung came at number two position. Huawei, on the other hand, reported a decline in smartphone sales.

Further as per Counterpoint’s full year analysis, Nokia’s shipments reduced from 17.59 million smartphone in 2018 to 12.9 million smartphones in 2019, recording a decline of 27 per cent.

As far as the feature phone segment is concerned, Nokia shipped 53.49 million units in 2019. This is almost four times the number of smartphones shipped in the same year. This, however, is 17 per cent less than the 64.8 million feature phones it shipped in 2018.
