Qualcomm has acquired Qualphone for $18 million in an all-cash deal. This acquisition, expected to be completed soon, will integrate Qualphone’s four development centres ?? in San Diego, Italy, the UK and Bangalore ?? with the company. It will also supplement Qualcomm’s efforts to accelerate the IMS uploading on its chipsets and provide a launch path for new 3G products and services.
