Panasonic India has launched its mobile phone series in the Sri Lankan market. With the launch, the company has expanded its mobile handset footprint in South Asia by entering the Sri Lanka market.

Also, Panasonic has designated India as its sixth strategic region. With this, the Indian division of the company will be responsible for developing its mobile handset business in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations, the Middle East Asia and Africa.

Panasonic India believes that the Sri Lankan mobile phone industry has potential for growth and thus, provides a favorable opportunity to the company. With the entry into Sri Lanka, the company aims to cater all customer segments in the country and build a strong distribution network.
