Panasonic India has made its debut in the Indian mobile handset segment, with the launch of the P51 smartphone.
The smartphone has a 5-inch screen and is powered by a quad core 1.2 GHz processor. It functions on the Android 4.2 jellybean operating system and packs in 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
The P51 supports dual cameras (an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera). It is priced at Rs 26,990.
Commenting on the launch, Daizo Ito, president, Panasonic India, says, “India has always been one of our alpha markets in the region and we are confident that our product will provide Indian consumers a multimedia experience and a value-for-money proposition.”
