The Australia-based mobile operator, Optus has partnered with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to support its key network initiatives.
As part of the agreement, NSN will provide services for modernisation of Optus? mobile network and implement in-building solutions. NSN will also for the operators.
Besides, it will deploy required infrastructure for rolling out 4G services in Sydney and Perth.
NSN will use its single radio access network platform for infrastructure roll-out. Further, it will monitor, manage and optimize Optus? 4G, GSM and 3G networks through NetAct, NSN?s by unified network management system.
