Oppo India has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) to support deep tech startups in Andhra Pradesh. As a part of the pact, Oppo India will connect with start-ups through a series of programs, including setting up labs for budding entrepreneurs and offering professional support in research and mentorship. The company will also organise innovation challenges, hackathons, and workshops to empower entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts.

The agreement was signed by Tasleem Arif, vice president and research and development head, Oppo India, and Anil Kumar Tentu, chief executive officer, APIS at the Global Investors Summit 2023, in the presence of Gudivada Amarnath, Minister of Industries, Infrastructure, Investment and Commerce, Information Technology and Handlooms and Textiles, government of Andhra Pradesh.

Oppo India and APIS aim to accelerate the overall innovation culture in the country and mentor start-ups that have the potential to bring the next big technological change in the industry. The two organisations will work with entrepreneurs and industry experts to promote the integration of technology research and development by providing a platform for start-ups to showcase their ideas and innovate.
