OneWeb has reportedly sought more time from the government to furnish security-related details for getting a land mobility authorisation under its licence to provide satellite-based broadband services.

According to industry sources, OneWeb has informed the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) that since the company recently merged with Eutelsat, it needs more time to provide the network details.

Once the company provides the necessary information, its application for land mobility will be taken forward by the inter-ministerial committee.
