Okta and Palo Alto Networks have unveiled an expanded partnership with new integrations that establish a unified security framework. These enhancements aim to help organisations automate threat responses, secure application access on every device and ease security-related operational burdens.
One of the key update is the native link between Okta Workforce Identity and Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Access Browser, introducing a fresh conditional-access method that limits single sign-on (SSO) application access to users operating through a secure browser. A second connection ties Okta’s Identity Threat Protection, powered by Okta AI, to Palo Alto Networks’ AI-driven Cortex SecOps platform, giving organisations a consolidated view of identity-related risks across their digital estate and extending coverage to both Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR platforms for broader threat detection and response.
Together, the two integrations provide organisations with a more cohesive and cost-effective cybersecurity strategy.
Further, integrating Okta Workforce Identity with Prisma Access Browser adds another layer of protection to web activity. Employees can securely reach corporate web apps and data from both managed and unmanaged devices, enjoying a consistent, secure browsing experience while IT teams gain improved visibility and control over software as a service (SaaS) and web-application use.
Additionally, linking Okta’s Identity Threat Protection to Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR enables organisations to enforce extra authentication dynamically whenever high-risk user behaviour is detected. Automated measures such as revoking user access, terminating active sessions and quarantining devices can be executed in real time.
