NSN has signed a contract with Hutchison Telecom Indonesia to strengthen the latter’s GSM/WCDMA network coverage in the islands of Java and Sumatra, and roll out GSM core networks in Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

NSN has signed a contract with Hutchison Telecom Indonesia to strengthen the latter’s GSM/WCDMA network coverage in the islands of Java and Sumatra, and roll out GSM core networks in Kalimantan and Sulawesi. NSN had earlier built a GSM/WCDMA radio, core and transmission network in the islands of Java and Sumatra for Hutchison Telecom Indonesia. The new contract commissions NSN to broaden the Indonesian operator’s network coverage in both islands, including network planning and implementation of another 2,800 base stations as well as Release 4 mobile softswitch and media gateways. On the services front, NSN will provide network management services.
