NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) has now approved the order worth Rs 964.2 million received from Saankhya Labs.

The company was awarded a provisional order for supplying, installing, and commissioning two-way mobile satellite service (MSS) terminals (Xponders) for marine fishing vessels, aimed at monitoring, control, and surveillance (MCS) in December 2023.

NSIL has now approved the prototypes, issued the bulk production clearance, and converted the provisional order into a final purchase order.

These MSS terminals will play a crucial role in enhancing communication and support systems in marine fishing vessels, with a specific focus on monitoring, control, and surveillance (MCS) systems. This initiative is expected to significantly improve vessel communication, particularly in remote areas, ensuring better safety and operational efficiency for marine activities.
