Infosys has signed a five-year deal with Liberty Global, valued at $1.64 billion for the initial phase. The agreement is an extension of their prior collaboration in February 2020. Infosys will take over the build and operations of Liberty Global’s Horizon entertainment and connectivity platforms. The company is also aiming on adding its Topaz AI offerings. The deal can be further extended up to eight or more years. Considering the agreement is extended to eight years, its value will climb up to $2.5 billion.
Meanwhile, Liberty Global will benefit by saving over €100 million per year, including all the other savings and investments in technology. Over 400 employees from Liberty Global will join Infosys as part of the deal. The company will share senior executives, technology teams from the product, technology development, service delivery, network and shared operations, and security.
