NETGEAR has introduced the Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender (EX7700) as the latest addition to the Nighthawk family of Wi-Fi Mesh Extenders. This new Nighthawk mesh extender provides complete home Wi-Fi by extending the range of the existing router using patented Fastlane3 technology. The EX7700 is one of the most advanced Tri-Band Wi-Fi mesh extenders available as it has a dedicated 866 Mbps 5 GHz band for extending internet speeds to all of the connected devices.
It allows the same Wi-Fi network name to be used as one’s primary router to provide seamless connectivity with smart roaming. Smart roaming enables mobile devices to connect intelligently for optimal Wi-Fi connection from the router to the extender or vice versa, delivering exceptional streaming when one moves throughout the home. Powerful features such as MU-MIMO and Smart Connect ensure every device is assigned a fast Wi-Fi connection.
The extender expands Wi-Fi coverage up to an additional 2,000 square feet, with AC2200 Wi-Fi speeds that combine to provide up to 2.2 Gbps (866+866+400 Mbps). The extender can be easily added onto the existing network and the benefits of mesh Wi-Fi derived with one network name, seamless roaming and a dedicated backhaul, all without reducing the Wi-Fi bandwidth, just by clicking a button.
The Nighthawk X6 also sets a new industry standard for a secure networking product. This is the first extender with Secure Boot, which ensures that only NETGEAR signed software can run on the device for the prevention of tampering. The four high performance internal antennas make the new mesh extender ideal for extending Wi-Fi to devices like smartphones, tablets and smart home devices, while its powerful quad-core processor boosts performance for better 4K streaming and lag-free gaming.
