National Instruments (NI) has appointed Victor Mieres as vice-president, emerging markets, Asia/Rest of World (RoW).
Mieres will be based out of Singapore and will lead growth for the high-growth region Asia/RoW. He will be responsible for NI?s sales, marketing, and support operations in India, Russia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and Africa.
In his new role, he will continue to expand the Planet NI program designed to empower engineers in emerging countries to achieve sustainable prosperity by providing them with increased access to NI technology. The program involves a wide range of support activities, including technical consulting, reduced pricing on NI tools, access to world-class training and technical support.
Mieres has spent majority of his career at National Instruments. Prior to his new role, he served as vice president of sales for Asia. Over the years, Mieres has played a leading role in establishing many of the company?s business operations outside of the United States, in markets including Greater China, Korea, Eastern Europe, Brazil, India and Russia.
