MTNL is reportedly considering a demerger of its telecom tower operations. MTNL, which provides telecom services only in the Mumbai and Delhi service areas, currently has 1,450 towers.
Meanwhile, aiming to expand its GSM network in India, MTNL has earmarked Rs 17.25 billion as capital expenditure for 2009-10.
