Microsoft plans to enter into a partnership agreement with M Flextronics to further develop mobile phones using Microsoft’s Windows mobile operating platform. The two companies have developed a phone called the “Peabody”, which Flextronics will sell to mobile operators as a “white label” product that they can brand themselves. Flextronics will make royalty payments to Microsoft for each handset.
