According to the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), China’s A mobile phone exports increased by 66 per cent to 140 million units in 2004. China produced a total of 230 million mobile phones last year, and is targeting an output of 260 million units this year. It intends to export 160 million handsets in 2005.
