Meanwhile, NTT DoCoMo and KT Freetel have agreed to jointly invest $200 million in Malaysian wireless carrier U Mobile and get about 16.5 per cent stake each. The carriers will help U Mobile in its 3G and mobile phone businesses, and promote roaming services using the Malaysian operator’s infrastructure. The deal is subject to approval by the Malaysian government.
