LG has launched its principal smartphone G3 in the Indian market. The smartphone is priced at Rs 47,990 and Rs 50,990 for the 16 GB and 32 GB versions respectively. It has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display supporting 538 ppi (2560X1440 pixels) and is available in three colors. G3 has a 13 MP rear camera with OIS+ (optical image stabilisation) and dual LED flash to reduce blur and shaking along with a 2.1 MP front camera.

G3, a 4G-enabled smartphone, operates on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Qualcomm Snapdragon of up to 2.5 GHz dual core processor. It has an internal storage of 2-3 GB coupled with a micro SD slot to support external memory up to 128 GB.

The phone comprises features like Smart Notice (recommends on basis of status of the phone, location and behavior), quick circle (displays six most used applicationss), smart keyboard (learns from usage and size adjustable) and wireless charging. Kill Switch is another special feature in G3, which disables the handset in case of theft.

With the launch of G3, LG aims to attaining 10 per cent  share in the Indian smartphone market by end-2014. It will sell 100,000 units of the new smartphone and would launch eight new models by the end of the year. Prior to G3, the company had launched 25 models in India ranging between Rs 8,000-Rs 55,000.
