Lenovo India has appointed Vivek Sharma as director of its data centre group (DCG). In his new role, Sharma will focus on customer-centric solutions, besides managing an extensive product portfolio spanning server, storage, software, services and networking. He will be based in Bengaluru and will be a part of Lenovo’s India leadership team led by Rahul Agarwal, India managing director and chief executive officer. He will report to Sumir Bhatia, vice-president, DCG, Asia Pacific, Lenovo. Sharma has over 25 years of experience in enterprise sales, alliances, distribution, telecom, cloud and data centre services. Prior to joining Lenovo, he was associated with Dimension Data. In the past, he has held several leadership positions at Wipro.
