
Finland-based start-up Jolla has launched the Jolla Sailfish Opertaing System (OS) smartphone in India at a price of Rs 16,499. Sailfish OS is based on Meego, a Linux-based mobile OS that was developed in partnership with Intel. The operating system is compatible with around 85,000 Android applications.
The 4.5-inch display smartphone has a screen resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of RAM. The Jolla phone also has an in-built storage of 16 GB, which is expandable through a microSD card.
The smartphone also features an 8 megapixel primary camera with LED flash along with a 2 megapixel secondary camera.
