Infotel Broadband has put its 4G plans on the fast track. The company is likely to purchase 4G network gear from Samsung Electronics worth $ 1 billion, say news reports.
Infotel Broadband is reportedly looking to launch 4G services in Mumbai and Delhi. It is likely to deploy a mix of Samsung?s SmartMBS multi-standard base stations and small-cell long-term-evolution base stations.
The two companies are also exploring the possibility of inking a devices supply deal as part of the 4G equipment contract.
Besides Samsung Electronics, Infotel Broadband is reportedly also in talks with Huawei and ZTE for sourcing 4G equipment.
