According to a report by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the regulations relating to the radiation emitted by the telecom towers in India are amongst the most stringent radiation norms in the world, restricting the limit of the radiation emission to one-tenth of the global standards. It added that these norms have led to low exposure to these radiations and therefore, the telecom towers in India are one of the safest in the world in terms of their impact on human health.

As per the report, there are no conclusive scientific evidences to establish that these radiations cause serious health hazards to humans. The report, however, added that some of the countries have taken a precautionary stance to reduce electromagnetic field levels and India has been one of them.

WHO believes that India has reduced the prescribed radiation levels to a great extent and the emissions are of the lowest levels as compared to the other countries.
