India Post has partnered with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Noida-based Pantel Technologies to sell mobile phones through its offices in Madhya Pradesh. The move is a part of the postal department?s ?Digital India? initiative.

Under the initiative, India Post will sell Pantel?s Penta Bharat Phone PF 301 through the post offices. The phone comes with 1,999 minutes of free talk time from BSNL with a validity of 18 months. It priced at Rs 1,999.

The mobile phones will be initially sold in all the head post offices and some other major post offices in the state. The initiative will cover other post offices in due course.

Earlier, the postal department had announced the sale of mobile phones through its head offices in Himachal Pradesh.
