Huawei has filed a lawsuit against Thailand-based CAT Telecom for the latter’s delay in payment for the implementation of the 7.2 billion baht CDMA mobile phone network project. The company has informed the civil court that it had delivered the CDMA network to CAT within the period stipulated in the contract.

According to the contract, CAT was required to make the payment to Huawei for the CDMA Phase 2 project by February 2007. CAT’s payments to date represent only 25 per cent of the overall project value.
