The Chinese telecommunications equipment provider Huawei and Canadian Nortel will no longer pursue their planned joint venture to offer high speed internet in key markets, specifically China.
This was, reportedly, because Nortel and Huawei did not get the contracts from the particular customers they had hoped to reach.
Nortel would have held the majority stake in the jointly owned Ottawa-based company.
