After carving a niche for itself in the Indian handset space, Micromax is looking to foray into the European market, say news reports.
As a part of this, the company initially plans to launch devices in Russia and will subsequently offer its products in other European markets. Micromax will initially introduce 14 products under the Canvas and Bolt series in Russia. The mobile phone manufacturer has signed a sales and distribution pact with Russia-based communication company, VVP Group for retailing its products through over 9,000 sales outlets across 60 cities.
Going forward, Micromax also plans to tie-up with various Russia-based operators for providing customers with bundled data offers on the company?s mobile phones.
