Finland-based F-Secure is in talks with various state governments to offer its secured services on the Wi-Fi hotspots in various cities. The company is of the view that as more and more cities across India adopt Wi-Fi solutions, the government needs to take measures to ensure that public Wi-Fi is not misused. According to F-Secure, it is demonstrating its solutions to the government which can be implemented at Wi-Fi hotspots to protect end-consumers from cyber crimes.
Meanwhile, the company launched a report which has estimated the Indian security software market to be worth about $200 million. Further, according to the report, Delhi was detected with the maximum malware infections followed by Hyderabad and Chennai, and Chandigarh in 2014.
