Handset maker Spice Mobile is planning to start a manufacturing unit for mobile devices by 2010 for which it has earmarked an investment of Rs 1 billion. The company is looking at manufacturing 2 million units per month once the facility starts operation in March.
Besides manufacturing, Spice Mobile is also planning to sell mobile handsets in the developing markets of Africa and Asia.
