Ericsson, in partnership with Radius Infratel has deployed a Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network at the Commonwealth Games Village, using its Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) solution. Radius Infratel will ensure onsite deployment of the GPON solution. The FTTH platform will provide carrier class data, television and communications (triple-play services), for distribution of 36 Games specific channel (HD Format), video-on-demand and other entertainment services. It will enable users to download data content at 100 Mbps and access Wi-Fi in the village campus and in training centre adjacent to the village.
