Ericsson has stated that it will not participate in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)?s auctions for GSM gear.
The vendor has said that the terms of the tender and the level of operating capital required had led to this decision.
An Ericsson spokesperson said that one of the reasons for not participating in the tender process has been the demand that vendors give it access to hardware and software codes, despite Indian government guidelines on the issue not having been settled.
