Ericsson has signed a deal with Chunghwa Telecom to supply its reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs) to the Taiwanese telecom operator. Ericsson’s ROADMs will boost Chunghwa Telecom’s network speed and performance, enabling the telco to offer over 80 channels with up to 40 Gbps capacity per channel. No financial details were disclosed.
