Ericsson has been selected as one of two suppliers for AT&T’s wireline access products and services. Ericsson will provide full system solutions for AT&T’s wireline access network, increasing the company’s ability to bring new broadband-based products and services to the market. Having already approved Ericsson’s GPON fibre-to-the-home solution for general deployment, AT&T will start integrating Ericsson’s DSL portfolio for fibre-tothe-node and IP DSLAM solutions to support offerings like IPTV, high speed internet and voice over internet protocol over an all-IP network.
