The long-standing issue between several foreign telecom equipment vendors and the Telecom Equipment Manufacturer Association of India (TEMA) has come to a head.

It is believed that the issue was centred on non-payment of the membership fee by these companies. Also, these vendors felt that their opinion was not being considered with regard to vital industry-centric issues.

According to news reports, vendors, including Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Alcatel-Lucent, have terminated their membership with TEMA over this.

These companies have already asked TEMA to remove their logos from its website.
