Dukcom has partnered with Alvarion, wherein the latter would provide its Wi-Fi solution to offer data, video and voice services in two rural networks in Antioquia and Atlantico, Colombia.
Alvarion?s Wi-Fi solution includes carrier-grade, wireless broadband base stations operating in the 2.4 and 5 GHz unlicensed bands using spatially adaptive beam forming technology and interference mitigation algorithms. The technology would enable Dukcom to deploy fewer access points, helping it deliver cost effective solutions in rural areas.
