In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot has said that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has called all leading operators for a meeting to resolve the issues faced by customers while porting their numbers from one network to another, according to news reports.
This is being closely monitored by the Telecom Enforcement Resource and Monitoring (TERM) cells. The issues faced by the customers include rejection of the port-out request, non-disconnection of the ported out number and non-updation of the number portability database by the donor.
