According to a DoT order, K Ramchand, DG (Telecom) and member (Technical), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), will voluntarily retire from government service, effective May 13, 2021.
Further, as per the order, no vigilance or disciplinary proceedings are pending against Ramchand as per records available with the DoT.
Ramchand had joined DoT in July 1984. Prior to that, he was serving as the senior manager, IT Project Circle, at Hyderabad circle of BSNL. At BSNL, Ramchand was responsible for the south-zone data centre for landline and broadband services.
