DoT has formed a committee on 2G spectrum pricing and allocation for mobile services. The committee will also assess spectrum demand for GSM, CDMA and 3G services based on the projected growth of the Indian telecom sector. It will also recommend steps for bridging the gap between demand and availability of spectrum through new, innovative, technological methods such as spectrum refarming.
