The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has deferred the spectrum auction to June 25, 2024.
According to the amendments made in the Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) for bids, the sale has been deferred by another 19 days. It was originally scheduled on May 20, 2024, and was initially deferred to June 6, 2024 in the wake of the general elections.
As per the amended NIA, mock auctions will be conducted on June 13, 2024 and June 14, 2024. In addition, the new date for publishing the auction catalogue for live auction is now June 24, 2024.
Furthermore, 5G airwaves in eight bands the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz, 3.3 GHz, and 26 GHz bands worth over Rs 960 billion at base prices, will be on sale.
