The Delhi High Court has issued notices to senior executives at Vodafone Essar, after Matrix Cellular had filed a contempt petition stating that the mobile phone company had not restored services to it.
Prior to this, Vodafone Essar had terminated its contract with Matrix. Following this, Matrix had approached the Delhi High Court against the operator.
Matrix had contended that for two months from the termination, Vodafone Essar could not introduce any changes to its consolidated subscriber base.
The court had then directed both parties to chalk out an interim arrangement restoring the business of Matrix Cellular for a period of two months.
Matrix, in its contempt petition, said Vodafone Essar had failed to follow the court’s directions. The Delhi High Court has asked Vodafone to respond by November 23, 2011.
