The Delhi government is planning to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across its departments. It will engage technology companies, startups and research institutions to develop AI-based solutions for sectors including healthcare, education, transport, urban planning and air quality monitoring.

The initiative aims to identify proven, market-ready technologies that can be piloted initially and subsequently scaled across departments. Only AI solutions with at least one successful prior implementation will be eligible for consideration. The move is intended to improve efficiency and responsiveness across government systems.

According to an expression of interest document floated by the IT department, the government plans to integrate AI tools to improve governance outcomes across multiple domains.

Additionally, responses will be reviewed from a range of stakeholders, including AI solution providers, startups, academic and research institutions, industry associations, innovation labs, system integrators and technology consulting firms.
