According to CloudExtel, the company has secured Rs 2 billion in debt funding from a private Indian bank to build artificial intelligence (AI)-ready infrastructure for telecom operators, enterprises, and data centres (DC).
CloudExtel noted that its existing shareholders have made a follow-on equity investment on a proportionate basis to support the company’s ongoing expansion plans.
The capital will also support CloudExtel’s upcoming DC interconnect (DCI) network initiative, which will begin in Mumbai and extend across major metro cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, and others.
Further, the DCI network will offer high-capacity, low-latency, and redundant connectivity between DC, critical for AI workloads, cloud computing, and digital content delivery.
