The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Tamil Nadu telecom circle, has issued an invitation for expressions of interest (EoI) for selling SIM cards, recharge vouchers and related mobile services through retailers in Namakkal South and Harur.

Further, according to the general manager of Salem BSNL, the initiative aims to ensure that key mobile services such as SIM activation, recharges and customer support are made easily accessible to the public through a broader and more efficient retail network. Distributors and dealers in segments such as telecom, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), electronics, electricals and similar consumer products, with an established retail chain and at least two consecutive years of experience during the last four years, and a minimum annual turnover of Rs 3 million in the financial year 2024-25, are eligible to bid for the Namakkal South and Harur territories. Additionally, firms with strong experience in BSNL’s telecom services and fulfilling the eligibility conditions specified in the EoI document will be given preference.
