Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Karbonn Mobiles to launch an exclusive SIM handset bundling offer under the Bharat 4G companion policy.
The new handsets will compete with the Jio Bharat 4G feature phone, offering high-speed connectivity at an affordable price. The partnership aims to provide a competitive alternative to the Jio Bharat 4G feature phone. Users can now access BSNL 4G services without the need for expensive smartphones.
In addition, BSNL plans to launch an artificial intelligence (AI)/ machine learning (ML)-powered solution to combat spam communications on its mobile network, aiming to improve service quality. The solution is scheduled to be revealed at the India Mobile Congress 2024.
