Bharti Telecom has raised it stake in Bharti Airtel, by purchasing 0.2 million shares of the company for Rs 65.1 million through open market transactions.
In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Bharti Airtel said, ?Bharti Telecom purchased 0.176 million share for over Rs 57.3 million and 24,000 shares for Rs 7.8 million from the National Stock Exchange on December 19, 2011.?
With this, Bharti Telecom?s stake in the company is now 45.69 per cent.
