Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Essar and Idea Cellular have withdrawn their petition filed in the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) challenging TRAI’s recommendations, “Spectrum Allocation and Licensing Framework”. According to TDSAT, recommendations cannot be challenged in the tribunal.
The three operators are particularly critical of two of TRAI’s proposals -? linking 2G and 3G spectrum prices, and trading the spectrum in the 900 MHz band held by the operators with a 1800 MHz spectrum.
