Bharti Airtel has announced its audited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended (QE) June 30, 2025. The company’s total revenue stood at Rs 494.63 billion for first quarter (Q1) financial year 2025-26 (FY26) as compared to Rs 385.06 billion during the same period last year, showing a 28.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth and 3.3 percent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). This growth was driven by strong performance in India and rebound in Africa on reported currency.
Meanwhile, the company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs 281.67 billion as compared to Rs 199.44 billion, while the EBITDA margins were 56.9 per cent against 51.8 per cent for the reported period. The company’s profit before tax (PBT) is Rs 105.04 billion against Rs 52.90 billion for the same period last year, showing a 98.6 per cent YoY growth.
Further, the telco’s net income before exceptional items for the reported period was Rs 59.48 billion against Rs 29.25 billion, registering a 103.3 per cent YoY growth.
Commenting on the results, vice-chairman and managing director (MD), Airtel, said, “We delivered another quarter of consistent growth, with consolidated revenues at 494.63 billion growing 3.3 per cent on a sequential basis. Our India revenue, including passive infrastructure services, increased by 2.3 per cent sequentially. Africa reported solid performance with 6.7 per cent growth in constant currency. India mobile business recorded a sequential growth of 2.9 per cent, driven by continued focus on portfolio premiumisation and an additional day in the quarter. We added approximately 4 million smartphone data customers and maintained an industry-leading average revenue per user (ARPU) of Rs 250 for Q1 FY26. Our homes business reported solid performance with a life time high quarterly net additions of 0.939 million, resulting in a sequential revenue growth of 7.6 per cent. Our internet protocol television (IPTV) expansion is ramping up well with strong acceptance from customers as it delivers superior experience and convenience. Airtel business revenue decline is reflecting full impact of portfolio restructuring undertaken last year. The underlying growth trajectory remains steady at a sequential growth of 2.0 per cent with continued improvement in funnel and orderbook. Our digital network across India and Africa now serves over 600 million customers. This is a testament to our passion for connecting customers through sustained investments and superior customer experience. Our balance sheet continues to demonstrate strength, supported by solid cash flow generation and disciplined capital allocation.”
