Vodafone Idea (Vi) has appointed Jagbir Singh as the chief technology officer (CTO). Singh will be taking over from Vishant Vora who left the organisation after a decade-long stint.
Under this role, Singh will be focused on network upgradation and expansion especially in priority 16 circles where Vi wants to gain new subscribers.
Singh was most recently working as group chief technology information officer (CTIO) at Smartfren Telecom, Indonesia and was responsible for its network, IT /digital platforms and enterprise business. Prior to that, he worked as the group CTO of Reliance Jio. In addition, he has also worked with Samsung and Airtel.
