Bharti Airtel is pulling out all stops to expand its 4G footprint in the country. After Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh, the operator now reportedly plans to roll out 4G services in Delhi by September 2013. The operator has partnered with Huawei for the same.
Earlier, in an effort to encourage the adoption of 4G services and improve its revenue from data services, the operator had reduced 4G tariffs by up to 31 per cent.
Following the roll out of 4G services in Delhi, the operator plans to launch the service in Mumbai. Bharti Airtel is examining the possibility of partnering with players such as Huawei or ZTE to launch 4G service in the Mumbai circle.
