Bharti Airtel has introduced 4G service trials for its existing customers in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. As part of the trials, Airtel customers in the city can avail of a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G services while paying for the high speed services at 3G prices.
The operator intends to use the trial phase as an opportunity to gather feedback on the quality of its services and assimilate market insights into building a world-class 4G network infrastructure for the city.
Earlier, Airtel had soft-launched 4G services in Mumbai as well as few other cities. The operator was the first player to launch 4G services in the country. Airtel launched its first 4G service in Bengaluru in 2012.
