Bharti Airtel is aiming to pump in Rs 40 billion in Punjab, say news reports.
To this end, the operator has signed an agreement with the government of Punjab under which it will launch 4G long term evolution services in all towns and villages across the state.
Further, the operator will lay an additional 10,000 km of optic fiber cables across Punjab. This agreement is aimed at enhancing broadband services in rural areas and enabling delivery of services such e-governance, e-education and e-health.
